How to cancel auctions in D3 at any time!

This is a really simple trick but I'm really surprised blizzard let this slip through. When you have your auctions tab open, alt-tab to your desktop and change the date/time of your computer a couple days back and hit apply.  *Poof*. Now you can cancel all your auctions as you see fit. Take advantage of this great tip before it gets hotfixed! If your items are not selling, cancel them and post again!

The best gold making/saving advice for foreseeable future.

This is a very simple tip/ piece of advice. Do NOT combine gems at your jewelcrafter and try to use your blacksmith as little as as possible as all the prices are going to be adjusted next patch 1.0.3.  gem costs are being reduced as follows:

As you can see the prices are being reduced ridiculously. So do not use your crafters at all. The new prices for the blacksmith haven't been announced yet but we can only assume they will also be lowered drastically. So save your money and wait for the patch to do any crafting!

Diablo 3 possible PS3 release?

Diablo 3 was spotted on a German website as being available for pre-order for PS3, there has been no confirmation from Blizzard however. Keep your hopes up PS3 players!

How to take advantage of Diablo 3's auction house issues.

As of writing this article the commodities are still disabled on the auction house. This means that you can only sell gear at the moment and that gems, recipes, crafting materials, etc. are piling up in peoples inventories and stash's. Now take a minute to think about what is going to happen when commodities are enabled again. Think supply and demand. Supply of all these things is going to be ridiculous and demand will be rather low and will not be able to keep up. This means prices for most commodities are going to drop like crazy. Even before they were disabled some commodities were selling for BELOW VENDOR PRICE. Just imagine what will happen when the auction house is being flooded with millions of auctions and everyone is trying to undercut to sell their items. I predict many items will fall way below vendor price and you will be able to find incredible deals on everything! My suggestion for the upcoming week is to keep as much gold as you can. DO NOT invest your gold in expensive inferno items as there prices have been seeing drops as much as 15% per day. Keep your money in strict gold and be prepared for when commodities come online

As soon as commodities come online be ready to buy. Buy everything under vendor price and invest in things like blacksmithing tomes, pages, books of secrets and lower materials( normal through hell). As more people get to Inferno. Less and less people will be going through the lower level difficulties and these items will rise in price. Save these items in your stash and sell them once the prices start to rise again. Be patient. The longer you wait before selling the greater your profit will be.

You may not want to invest all your money however. If you were planning on trying to make money from Diablo 3. The moment the RMAH comes online you are going to want to try and dump all your gold right away as the prices are going to plummet.

Diablo 3 Auction House Gem Fix

Are you posting your gems but no one is buying them? Try this quick fix:

1. Place your gem in any piece of gear with a gem slot in it

2. Go to your blacksmith and salvage the piece of gear so that it will give you back the gem

3. Go post your gem back on the auction house.

For some reason this fixes the issue with higher level gems not appearing on the auction house when posted. Hope this helps some of you higher level players get your gems back up on the AH and sold so you can rake in the profits!

Diversifying is Good But Not On Day One: Week One Money Making

Diversifying is an essential practice to making money and being successful in any economy in the long run. However, at the release of Diablo we are going to want we are going to want to be focusing on more specific markets to maximize our income.

GOLD

Gold will be one of the most valuable commodities in Diablo 3 at launch. Unfortunately, the RMAH(Real Money Auction House) is being delayed for the first week and we will not be able to sell our accumulated gold in until approximately may 22nd. This will give us about a week to play like mad and make as much money as possible. Without access to the RMAH we will have to utilize the gold AH to our advantage during the first week to have the maximum amount of gold to sell on the RMAH upon it's release.

ITEMS

Save and sell everything you don't need RIGHT AWAY. Price's will be dropping exponentially over the next few days so you want to capitalize on selling stuff right now. Don't equip really good items you get at low levels you will replace them quickly and won't need them anymore. Just sell them right away to the people with more gold than brains and they will make you rich!

Diablo 3 not launching for me! D: Pressing play just makes the launcher sit there.

So after all this anticipation I finally got home and went to play my pre-installed copy of Diablo. So I opened up the launcher and pressed play. The launcher then just sat there staring at me saying launching. So I left and went to do my drivers test (passed and got my license). Then I went and painted 2 pools and got home 6 hours later. Diablo was still trying to launch..... So this post is more of a : Lets all figure this out together and try each others fixes and get our games we paid for to work so we can have fun! How I made over 1.2 million gold and World of Warcraft and how this relates to Diablo 3.

         In my World of Warcraft career I made over 1.2 million gold playing the auction house across all of my characters. While making this gold I almost NEVER left Stormwind and I NEVER farmed. I made all of my money playing the auction house and converting materials into more valuable items.

What do I mean by playing the auction house?

        Playing the auction house is applying knowledge and understanding of how real life markets fluctuate and change over time to make smart short and long term investments. This can be done using several different methods including flipping, stockpiling etc. These theories and techniques will be discussed in more detail in the weeks to come in posts dedicated to each theory. I will discuss my knowledge of markets and what you should be looking for when attempting different strategies to make money playing markets IN ANY GAME. Since these aren't guides in the manner of do this, that, this again and you will be rich you will be able to apply this knowledge to any game with and economy or even to real life stock markets! This blog will mainly be concentrating on applying these strategies to Diablo 3 and I will be using that game for many of my examples.

Why make in game currency?

      Now that's fairly straightforward. Real. Money. I made real money by selling all this gold I amassed with friends and fellow guild mates. I made over 2000$ selling my gold. In some games this is against the Terms of Service. However there are ways around this. I never actually received $$ for my gold. It was always in exchange for something. You would be surprised what people will do for in game currency. I had people pay for my World of Warcraft subscription( haven't paid for it in over a year) as well as buy me digital copies of games on Steam and Origin. I even had someone order me a 600$ guitar! Crazy. In Diablo 3 making real money is going to be even easier as there is a real money auction house. RMT for short. You will be able to sell  items and gold you get in game for real money. There will also be a gold auction house for people who are not willing to spend real money for items and we will be utilizing both to make our maximum possible profit!

How much are you going to pay for all my knowledge?

     ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! That's right. All my information will be posted on this blog and on my youtube channel for free! I will never charge any of my readers for anything.
